Featuring artists + Giveaway

I´ve been thinking about create a new interview/article featuring handmade artists for a while.

I´ve created a blog, Beta sem Marca (Brandless Berta) for featuring portuguese crafters, and when I was featured at Annuk blog I thought a good way of thanking her back was to make a post about her.

I already had post a question about this series on my facebook page, but the answers were only for, from the same two people, my colleagues from EASL team on Etsy, Rose Meister and Renee McMeeken. Thank you girls for your support.

But I did not gave up.

I decided to contact the people that I wanted to feature, and then I started to receive positive feedback.

To lessons learned:

1. Never give up;

2. If the things you want don´t come to you you must go after them.

So on the first wednesday of every month you will be able to read here a post about those artists, and on the second week, the post about Portuguese artists, from my other blog.

Lime green Cuff with aluminum

I made this acrylic cuff, Plexiglass and aluminum, from scratch, by hand, with no mold.

This is one of a kind comfortable piece of experimental jewelry, a minimalist design for a modern gal.

The acrylic sheet is saw, sanded and polished by my own hands, and that´s make it a singular handmade piece. The process is log and hard, but rewarding, to see hat I can create from a piece os plexiglass.

This particular cuff is embellished with hand cut acrylic swirl/curve, that flows with the movement of the bracelet.

Rainbow Ring - Sold

This OOAK colorful ring was SOLD when it appeared on Etsy finds. 

Made by hand, this can not be repeated exactly, but I can make you a similar one in 5 week days ready to ship, with the rainbow concept, or in one single color. 

This Is the perfect ring for a spring/sunny day, for a fun modern women.

I made this ring from acrylic sheets glued together, and then carved it to a organic round shape. It has a matte finish.

Black Flower Ring - Hand cut

This ring is made with two black acrylic circles that were curved around a wood bead.


As a custom order, allow 5 to 7 days to be sent after purchase, and tell me your size in the order.

It´s made from acrylic sheet cut, sanded and polished by me, as the acrylic, also cut,..., by me, all by hand, no laser used.

The flowers are riveted to the aluminium band with aluminium wire. It´s safelly blocked.

Measure:

aluminium: about 1cm (0,39 inch) high

Black and Yellow Faceted ring - adjustable ring in aluminium

This minimalist piece of experimental jewellery is comfortable to wear and it will be great for any occasion, for a modern practical gall.

I made this ring form a 3mm, 0,12 in, black acrylic sheet, sanded and polished by me, as the acrylic, also hand cut.
The yellow faceted piece is carved from an acrylic yellow circle.
The aluminium band goes from 7mm and it´s adjustable.
